Alicia is a tax preparer and bookkeeper at Winer+Bevilacqua. She provides attentive tax service to every client she interacts with during meetings and phone conversations. A true ambassador of the W+B philosophy that a client isn't a number, it's with sincere courtesy and care that Alicia closely examines the details on every financial statement, and federal, state, city, personal, and business return she touches. With Alicia, clients are always aware of where they stand and there are never any surprises. Alicia earned her CPA from Northeastern Illinois University and is currently completing the steps required to earn her Ohio CPA. 
 
 
Cheryl Barber, CPA, Senior Tax Accountant (Email)

Cheryl has over 20 years of experience in managing organizations' and individuals' tax needs. She is dedicated to those she serves and it shows through her organizational skills and attention to detail. She attends annual tax update seminars to hone her skills. She is a member of the OSCPA and AICPA, and knits preemie hats for Children's Hospital in her spare time.


Linda M. Broughton, Senior Accountant (Email)

Linda has been with Winer+Bevilacqua for over 20 years. She benefits clients' finances through a wide range of accounting services including preparing monthly profit/loss statements, doing employee payrolls, bank reconciliations and quarterly payroll reports, as well as some tax services. She also assists clients with accounting in Peachtree and QuickBooks. She has a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Akron.


Sharon Brustoski, Tax Accountant (Email)
I prepare complete and accurate work. Nothing less.

Sharon prepares federal, state and city personal tax returns, as well as federal, state and estate tax returns that require consultation with executors of deceased taxpayers. She consistently provides accurate and reliable returns during our peak season, averaging 150 returns per season. She also streamlined our Federal Extension process, and helped several of our clients save money through detailed analysis and filing. Sharon has a Bachelor of Science in accounting, and has completed the Toastmasters International High Performance Leadership Project, earning the highest award of Distinguished Toastmaster. She is the chairman of the City of Fairlawn Real Property Maintenance Board, a Parent Mentor for Akron Children's Hospital, treasurer and a 30-year member of Bridgestone/Firestone Toastmasters Club and a member of the National Spina Bifida Organization.

 
Lisa Byder, CPA, Senior Tax Accountant (Email)

Lisa became involved with Winer+Bevilacqua when a former tax professor connected her to Ron Winer in 2010. Lisa prepares tax returns, payroll and financial statements. Lisa earned her undergraduate in accounting at the University of Akron. She is an EA, MTax, and CPA. Lisa is a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs and believes the superior attention and care that Winer+Bevilacqua provides to its clients set the stage for the firm to continue to prosper in the years ahead.
 
 
 
Michael Fresh, IT Technician (Email)

Michael is our in-house IT technician, network engineer and technology solutions provider. He strengthens client IT departments' network infrastructure, stabilizes hardware and streamlines software processes. As a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and a certified A+ computer technician, Michael ensures that clients' networks and technology remain efficient and productive. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Catholic Men's Fellowship of Northeast Ohio and the Saint Hilary Contemporary Choir.


Melanie J. Garrett, Staff Accountant (Email)

Melanie is well versed in all accounting programs as well as how our clients use them. This enables her to uncover more ways for work to be done without cutting corners. Her accounting support makes daily accounting simpler and friendlier. She is a designated Fellow, Life Management Institute (FMLI) and a designated Associate, Customer Service (ACS). She is also a member of Tres Dias in Cleveland.

 
Rebekah Hale, Receptionist (Email)

Rebekah Hale is a receptionist for Winer+Bevilacqua. She ensures that when clients contact us, their needs are communicated to our team members so they have the information they need in a timely and efficient manner. She is an incredibly positive person bustling with energy and a drive to always do more for our team and clients. Rebekah volunteers at her father’s church by watching children and helping out wherever she can.
 

Julie Ivascu, Administrative Assistant (Email)

Julie is dedicated to client and staff support and is consistent in completing her work in an accurate and timely manner. Julie assembles and distributes tax returns, manages new client information, scans paperwork and coordinates workflow during tax season.

 
Jim Koney, Manager of Retirement Plan Services (Email)

For over 20 years, Jim has served Winer+Bevilacqua clients through retirement plan administration and plan design, document preparation, government compliance and reporting, education, participant reporting, distribution and loan processing as well as individual returns. He is a Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA), a member of ASPPA National and the ASPPA Benefits Council of Cleveland.

 
RoseAnn Krannich, Administrative Assistant (Email)

RoseAnn was a certified paralegal for over 30 years before joining the Winer+Bevilacqua team. On any given day, RoseAnn may be found preparing client copies of monthly and annual financial statements, conducting monthly data entry of client journal entries and checks, e-filing personal tax returns, assembling preparation files for client meetings and coordinating with clients to help them prepare for their planning meetings. RoseAnn also provides phone support — acting as liaison between W+B and clients so she can acquire and provide information.
 
 
Cindy Latham, Administrative Assistant (Email)

With nearly 30 years of service, Cindy has become a friend to many of our clients. She checks and assembles personal and business returns, prepares payrolls and payroll reports, reviews financial statements, prepares billings and fields questions from our clients with a personable demeanor. Cindy consistently follows through for our clients and provides them with the information they need. She supports Lake Local Schools by helping out with band activities, cheer functions and fundraisers and softball organizations.

 
Brian Liddle, Accounting Manager (Email)

As a tax professional for Winer+Bevilacqua, Brian Liddle performs monthly client updates, individual 1040 returns, tax planning and projections, client write-ups and tax research. He also prepares and completes a variety of business-related tax forms, including the 1065, 1120 and 1120S. He’s always willing to assist others whenever the need arises, and contributes daily to the success of our team. He enjoys the family atmosphere at our firm, and has proven to be an excellent team player. Brian is a member of the Ohio Society of CPAs (OSCPA) and holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree from The University of Akron, as well as an MBA from Youngstown State University. He has been a Relay For Life participant for the past three years.
 
David Lux, CPA, Tax Manager (Email)

David has represented clients and served as Power of Attorney with government entities regarding issues with: IRS, Ohio Job and Family Service and various state Departments of Tax. Mary Beth Ninni, Administrative Staff Coordinator (Email)

Mary Beth monitors workflow for administrative staff for efficiency and timeliness. She also handles billing and accounts receivable, manages e-filing for business tax returns and oversees some mailings and payrolls. She leads new employee orientation and training and performs other administrative tasks. All the work that comes off her desk is accurate and professional. She has an associate degree in secretarial science and a Bachelor of Science in comprehensive business education with Shorthand, IOE and COE certifications.

Cathy Tenney, Staff Accountant (Email)

A full-time Staff Accountant, Cathy brings 20 years of bookkeeping experience to Winer+Bevilacqua. At W+B, Cathy is proud to be a member of a structured, well-respected, and growing team. Cathy understands how our clients feel, and she strives to efficiently and effectively meet their needs. She and her sister are co-captains of a Relay for Life®  team organized in honor of their brother. Cathy's team has been ranked as a "Gold Team" all six years she has been a co-captain. Cathy earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from The University of Akron. 

 
Jenee Valle, Staff Accountant (Email)

Jenee joined Winer+Bevilacqua to do what she loves best – prepare accurate and complete 1040s during the prime tax season and provides part-time 1040 support and planning during the off-season. Jenee earned her BS in Accounting from the University of Akron and has spent nearly two decades working as a bookkeeper and preparing personal tax returns. 
 
 
Kathleen L. Wade, Staff Accountant (Email)

Kathleen prepares monthly and quarterly client updates and quarterly and yearly payroll tax returns. She also prepares year-end work papers and financial statements to streamline tax season workflow. Kathleen has helped our clients understand certain financial software platforms so that transactions are posted correctly. She has an associate degree in accounting and is currently a member of the Parish Council at her church where she also serves as Eucharistic Minister and Lector.

 
Jane Webb, Administrative Assistant (Email)

Jane has been a part-time staff member at Winer+Bevilacqua for over 30 years where she ensures tax returns are accurately processed. Before joining Winer+Bevilacqua, Jane had held an administrative position and focused on raising her family. Jane is a member of the Sons of Italy and actively volunteers at her church.


Leonard M. Winer, IT Manager (Email)

For the past 12 years, Leonard has service managed and maintained our in-house computer network and supported employees with their technology questions and needs. He ensures that our network, software and procedures continue to move forward and improve. For our IT clients, Leonard offers responsive solutions for hardware and software challenges. He currently serves on the board of trustees for Temple Israel and is a Red Cross platelet donor.
